Conquering Lust
James 1:13-15

Today we are going to talk about one of the 7 deadly sins: lust. Lust is the urge to romanticize, talk about and carry out your inner fantasies. A person consumed by Lust has obsessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Lust leads to s sexual addiction, adultery, bestiality, and rape. Is there anything wrong with a little private lust? Just look at Sodom and Gomorrah. Sexual sin is condemned in almost every book of the Bible. And I have a suggestion for you about lust: Avoid it at all costs.

7 Deadly Sins
Proverbs 6:16-19

Sin must not be as bad as it used to be. A few thousand years ago, God said He hated it, however today, sin is not only tolerated, but in some cases it is even admired. What’s so bad about sin anyway? Especially if you do it in moderation. A little lust isn’t so bad is it? it doesn’t really hurt to look as long as you don’t touch. A little greed can’t be evil if it makes you work harder, can it? And what’s wrong with pride? Everybody ought to congratulate themselves once in a while.
